Filmmakers are invited to submit their films to the first Echelon Studios International Film Festival
Echelon Studios today announced that it is now accepting submissions for the first ever Echelon Studios International Film Festival, which will take place on July 13 in Los Angeles.
The inaugural event celebrates the universal language of film, serving as a platform for independent filmmakers to showcase their work. The program also serves to empower the film community and educate on the changing business of independent film, the process of distribution, building audiences and sustaining a career.
The festival is calling for submissions to compete in the following six categories:
- Best US Feature
- Best US Short
- Best International Feature
- Best International Short
- Best Doc
- Best Series
The Festival’s programming features a comprehensive curriculum of interactive discussions, and workshops. A panel of industry guests will engage in conversations around independent film distribution to encourage and inspire filmmakers, preparing them for navigating the festival circuit, and offering guidance on future projects.
Speaking on the Festival, independent film director and President and CEO of Echelon Studios, Eric Louzil, said: “We’re delighted to be able to introduce the very first Echelon Studios International Film Festival. Our aim for the Festival is to create a vibrant film community and provide a global platform for the next generation of storytellers. With a wide-ranging program, we hope to support and celebrate diverse cinematic works from emerging and established voices.”
Submissions for the 2024 Festival are now open, and close on May 11. Finalists will be announced on Jun 10 with the screening taking place on July 13.
